At Campus Charter School, our academic instruction program is designed to help each student master their grade appropriate academic and social skills through a variety of traditional and research based innovative approaches. We believe that students learn best when challenged with a non-traditional Approach, and Structure, using Non-Negotiables and daily Consistency. By tapping into the appropriate motivational strategy for learning, each student has the opportunity to maximize his or her own academic advancement by taking responsibility for their own learning.

Campus Charter teaches our students using the state adopted curriculum and with other supplemental teaching supplies to enhance the students learning process. Our lesson plans are carefully designed to meet the needs of the individual learner while at the same time accomplishing all of the state standards, benchmarks and assessments.

Personalized and small group instruction techniques are used and implemented when focusing on the lowest percentile in reading, math and writing. High essential questioning, by Blooms and Webs, is used throughout every subject, daily, while hands-on activities are used to teach the state standards and objectives each and every day. Research indicates that students are using higher order thinking strategies and retaining academic information more successfully when instructed in this manner.

Campus Charter Elementary School aligns its Curriculum and Instruction (also known as C&I) to the Brevard County School Board District. Campus Charter integrates challenging and interactive curriculum and instructional framework in accordance with the Florida Department of Educations (FLDOE) standards and assessments. Curriculum (what we teach) and Instruction (how we teach it) is so very important to how a student learns the material. We are always looking at ourselves on how we can present the material in such a way that we reach every student.

Campus Charter strives to develop, implement and manage curriculum changes that increase the student’s achievement within classroom instruction and curriculum assessment. Campus Charter’s curriculum and instruction focuses on how the students learn the information and we look for the very best ways to teach the information.

At Campus Charter, teachers and administrators, on a regular basis, establish high expectations and demand accountability during evaluating the success of their teaching strategies and curriculum content. Each student is academically assessed using the KTEA at enrollment and assessed using the DRA during the middle part of the year to capture academic progress. Campus Charter also offers and Evaluates each Student’s Data from FCAT (Now FSA), F.A.I.R., FCAT (Now FSA) Writes, Math and Science Inventories and other district assessments.
