We believe at Campus Charter School that the curriculum should be structured around each student while at the same time providing non-negotiable’s in and outside of the classroom. The teacher’s approach in presenting the curriculum should be done in a way in which each student can identify and make a connection that becomes real-world and relevant to their everyday lives. Now by the teacher providing structure, non-negotiable’s, and an approach that is relevant for each student in the classroom, we believe at Campus that these three techniques need to be followed up with consistency on a daily basis.

 

Research tells us that in doing these 4 techniques (structure, non-negotiable’s, approach, and consistency) this will not only make classroom learning more stimulating but allows the students to take more responsibility for their learning. This helps the teacher in setting up the learning environment, by guiding the lesson, for all children to be able to lead and use their own discoveries, knowledge, and skills in becoming successful learners. These 4 techniques are a must inside the classroom. A non-negotiable, it’s just not for the student but also for the teacher.
